“Emma!! These are absolutely amazing. You were such a great photographer and aside from your photography, just having you around on the day was such good fun. You made me feel so relaxed and I felt like I didn’t have to worry about anything. We are so so excited to sit down with a cuppa in our house and look through these. Will be in touch properly with a real thank you but this was all I could muster for now! Loads of love and am so excited to share these with people I love.”
This wedding got me in all of the aesthetic feels.
Creative, modern, personal. Rónán & Emily curated their day so beautifully with a plethora of local suppliers, like Mike’s Fancy Cheese, Root Soup caterers (a fantastic social enterprise) and Lines and Current jewellery, to name a few. These guys have such a heart for others, they didn’t want their day to be all about them and chose to celebrate others through their wedding, which I personally think is incredibly admirable.
Their service was held in Village Church, Belfast led by Andrew Elder. I’ve been to many a church service but the way this gent joined these two in sacrament was a beauty to behold. After some macarons, coffee and chats, everyone headed to Breckenhill in the beautiful County Antrim countryside for the rest of the party.
Rónán & Emily created a humble visual masterpiece for their day. Emily’s collection of dried flowers, old postcards and books formed created a honest aesthetic. Her dress is simply stunning, handmade in England, ethically produced with organic fabric. The laser cut design is inspired by the York Minster, a placed where Emily used to live close to when she was younger. Rónán is a such a warm soul, it’s hard not to have a smile when you are around him. As a talented comedian, you can imagine his speech was banging.
I could go on and on. Rónán and Emily, you are one in a million. Words can’t express my gratitude for trusting me to capture one of your most special days, it was genuinely such a privilege. These guys are made for each other and yet again I’m blown away as to what an amazing job I have to capture yet another incredible couple.
